Shalom
Auslander was born and raised in the Ultra-Orthodox Jewish town of
Monsey, New York. He is the author of the short-story collection
'Beware of God,' and the memoir 'Foreskin's Lament,' each of which
has been published around the world. He has written for The New
Yorker, GQ Magazine, The Guardian, The New York Times and many
others. He is a frequent contributor to the BBC and Public Radio
International's 'This American Life.' He lives in Woodstock, NY with
his wife and two sons, and is at work on a novel about Anne Frank
that is going to make some people laugh, and a lot of people mad.
